The best OKR software in 2026: 10 OKR tools compared

Ten OKR tools, compared on what decides the choice: who the tool is built for, whether key results connect to the work in Jira and Azure DevOps, free plans and trials, hosting and published prices. Every competitor fact links to the vendor's own page.

No credit card required. Host your data in the EU (Germany) or the US.

What is the best OKR software in 2026?

The best OKR software in 2026 is Kendis for agile and SAFe organisations that need OKRs connected to delivery work in Jira and Azure DevOps, Perdoo or Mooncamp for company-wide strategy and OKRs, Profit.co and WorkBoard for large enterprises, Lattice Goals and Betterworks when goals belong in performance management, Weekdone and Tability for small teams, and Atlassian Goals for simple goals inside Atlassian Cloud.

Most OKR tools are built for company goal-setting: leaders write objectives, teams align to them, and people update progress in a weekly check-in. That works well when the key results are sales, hiring or customer numbers. It works less well for product and engineering organisations, where the key results are delivered by features and stories that live in Jira or Azure DevOps, and progress typed by hand drifts away from what was actually shipped.

This guide compares ten OKR tools on both kinds of need. If you are new to the method, start with our guide to objectives and key results.

One change shapes this market in 2026: Microsoft retired Viva Goals on December 31, 2025, and no longer develops it.[1] If you are still moving off Viva Goals, see how to move from Viva Goals to Kendis.

How did we evaluate OKR software?

We compared each OKR tool on seven criteria: who it is built for, how OKRs cascade, whether key results connect to delivery work, Jira and Azure DevOps integrations, hosting, pricing model and free plan or trial. Every competitor fact comes from the vendor's own website.

The seven criteria used to evaluate each OKR tool.
CriterionWhy it mattersWhat we checked
Built forAn HR performance tool and an agile delivery tool solve different problems. How the vendor describes the product on its own site
Cascade and alignmentOKRs only help if team goals visibly support company goals. Objectives that roll up from teams to programs and the organisation
Link to delivery workKey results delivered by software should move when the work moves.Whether key results link to epics, features, stories or work items
Jira and Azure DevOpsMost product teams track work in one or both.Integrations listed on the vendor's integrations page
HostingRegulated organisations need to know where data lives.Hosting regions, self-hosting and certifications that are published
Pricing modelPer user, per seat and quoted pricing scale very differently. The published price and its billing terms
Free plan or trialAn OKR cycle is usually a quarter, so short trials rarely cover one.Free plan limits and trial length

Kendis makes one of the tools on this list. To keep the comparison fair, we only state what each vendor publishes and we link every claim. "Not published" means we did not find the information on the vendor's own pages, not that it does not exist. Each tool also has a note on where it is the better choice. Competitor pages were checked on 1 November 2026.

OKR tools compared

Every tool in this list tracks objectives and key results with check-ins. The differences are in who the tool is built for, which trackers it connects to and how it is priced. Kendis is the only tool here built around agile delivery, with key results linked to features and stories and PI objectives with business value.

Who each OKR tool is built for, and its Jira and Azure DevOps integrations. "Not listed" means the integration is not on the vendor's integrations page.

1. Kendis

Kendis is the OKR tool for agile and SAFe organisations that plan and deliver in Jira or Azure DevOps. Organisational objectives link to strategic themes and cascade to programs and teams, and key results link directly to the features and user stories on the program board, so progress comes from delivered work rather than a manual update. We make Kendis, so read this entry with that in mind and check the evidence behind every other tool below.

Best for: Agile Release Trains, portfolios and product organisations that want one line of sight from strategy to the work in Jira or Azure DevOps.

Kendis OKR view listing objectives with time period, associated collections, owners, progress and status, with a Check-Ins button
The Kendis OKR view: objectives with owners, progress, status and check-ins.

Strengths

  • Organisational objectives linked to strategic themes, cascading to program and team OKRs that roll up.
  • Key results linked directly to features and user stories on the program board, so delivery moves the result.
  • Business value planned and achieved per key result, which gives leadership a measurable view of return.
  • PI objectives with business value, connected to the key results they support. Kendis AI (Charlie) drafts PI objectives from the features and context on your board.
  • OKR roadmaps (Org Views) that show how objectives evolve across quarters, programs and teams. See roadmaps.
  • Check-ins that log progress and confidence alongside each OKR.
  • Two-way sync with Jira Cloud, Jira Data Center, Jira Server, Azure DevOps and TFS 2018 and 2019.
  • Hosting in the EU (OVHcloud, Frankfurt) or the US (AWS), or self-hosted. ISO/IEC 27001 certified and GDPR compliant.

Limits to know

  • It is built for agile delivery. If your OKRs are mostly HR, sales or individual goals with no link to Jira or Azure DevOps, Perdoo, Mooncamp or an HR suite will fit better.
  • No performance reviews, engagement surveys or compensation. Lattice and Betterworks cover those.
  • No KPI dashboards fed from CRM or BI tools. Perdoo, Profit.co and WorkBoard list those integrations.
  • Strategic themes, global OKRs, OKR roadmaps and Kendis AI objective creation are in the ORG Views plan, not in Premium Cloud.
  • Pricing is per user, and there is no permanent free plan.

Pricing: Premium Cloud is $14 per user per month billed annually or $16 monthly and covers the program board, team and PI objectives with business value, and the Jira and Azure DevOps sync. ORG Views, which adds strategic themes, global OKRs, roadmaps and Kendis AI, is $23 per user per month billed annually. Six months free with no credit card. See pricing and the Kendis OKR software page.

2. Perdoo

Perdoo describes itself as "strategy execution software for the AI era."[4] It combines OKRs, KPIs and a strategy map that shows the ultimate goal, strategic pillars, objectives and key results in one hierarchy. It is one of the most complete company-wide OKR tools and is made in Europe.[4]

Best for: Companies that want strategy, OKRs and KPIs in one place, from leadership to every team, at a low price per user.

Strengths

  • A free plan for up to 5 users.[2]
  • Strategy map and KPIs next to OKRs.[4]
  • Long integration list, including Jira ("Link epics and issues to OKRs so progress reflects shipped work") and Azure DevOps ("Link work items and pipelines to OKRs so delivery rolls up to goals").[3]
  • AI features, an API and an MCP server on Premium.[2]
  • SOC 2 and GDPR badges on its site.[4]

Limits to know

  • Built for company goal-setting, not for SAFe: PI objectives, program boards and business value per key result are not documented.
  • Board views, custom dashboards and view-only licenses are on the higher Supreme plan.[2]
  • Hosting region is not published on the pages we checked.

Pricing: Free for up to 5 users. Premium €6.40 and Supreme €8.00 per user per month billed annually, with quarterly billing also offered.[2]

3. Profit.co

Profit.co presents itself as "Strategy Execution & Project Management, Unified by AI."[7] OKRs sit next to Balanced Scorecard, Hoshin Kanri, strategy roadmaps, performance reviews and project portfolio management, with AI agents called Athena across modules.[7]

Best for: Enterprises that want one suite for several strategy frameworks, performance and projects, with a large integration library.

Strengths

  • OKRs, Balanced Scorecard and Hoshin Kanri in one product.[7]
  • A Jira plugin to link issues to OKRs without leaving Jira, a Jira Data Center integration, and an Azure DevOps integration to create key results.[6]
  • Data residency, SSO and SCIM on the Enterprise plan.[5]
  • A 30-day free trial.[5]

Limits to know

  • Prices are not published. They depend on the modules you choose and your user count.[5]
  • The breadth of modules takes time to configure if you only need OKRs.
  • SAFe PI objectives and program boards are not documented.

Pricing: Quoted by modules and user count, with Essentials and Enterprise plans and a 30-day trial.[5]

4. WorkBoard (now including Quantive)

WorkBoard calls itself an "AI Strategy Execution & OKR Platform."[8] In May 2025 WorkBoard acquired Quantive, another enterprise OKR vendor, and announced that "Quantive customers will transition to the WorkBoard platform."[10] If you were evaluating Quantive, WorkBoard is now the product to look at.

Best for: Large enterprises that want a managed strategy execution programme with OKRs, initiatives and AI agents across many business units.

Strengths

  • Strategy, OKRs, initiatives, projects and people in one platform.[8]
  • Integrations for Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, GitHub, GitLab, Salesforce, ServiceNow and BI tools.[9]
  • Built for enterprise scale and executive reporting.

Limits to know

  • Pricing is not published. The pricing page points to a demo.[28]
  • A free plan or self-serve trial is not published.
  • SAFe PI objectives and program boards are not documented.

Pricing: Not published. Book a demo with WorkBoard.[28]

5. Lattice Goals

Lattice is an HR platform, and its Goals & OKRs product helps teams "set, track, and align goals and OKRs in one place."[18] Lattice states that Goals & OKRs can be bought on its own, without the Performance product.[17]

Best for: HR-led organisations that want goals next to performance reviews, one-on-ones and engagement.

Strengths

  • Goals connect naturally to reviews and one-on-ones in the same HR platform.[18]
  • Can be purchased without Performance management.[17]
  • Jira integration listed.[19]

Limits to know

  • Lattice says it integrates "from Slack to Jira", but does not describe progress syncing from Jira on its Goals page.[18]
  • Azure DevOps is not on its integrations page.[19]
  • Contracts are billed annually with a minimum annual agreement of $4,000.[17]

Pricing: Goals & OKRs at $8 per seat per month, billed annually, with a $4,000 minimum annual agreement.[17]

6. Betterworks

Betterworks describes itself as "talent intelligence powered by real-time performance management", and Goals & OKRs is one of its products.[21] It aims at large companies and says it "adds the most value for organizations with over 500 employees."[20]

Best for: Large enterprises where goals are part of continuous performance management and HR runs the OKR programme.

Strengths

  • Goals aligned from individuals to company priorities, inside a performance platform.[21]
  • Jira and Azure DevOps integrations: "Link work items in Azure DevOps with goals to sync progress."[22]
  • Many HRIS integrations, including Workday, SuccessFactors and BambooHR.[22]
  • Published starting prices.[20]

Limits to know

  • An HR performance product first. Agile planning, PI objectives and program boards are not documented.
  • A free trial is not mentioned on the pricing page.[20]
  • Hosting regions are not published on the pages we checked.

Pricing: Performance at $8 per user per month, Performance plus Talent Intelligence at $9, Enterprise custom.[20]

7. Mooncamp

Mooncamp positions itself as "the new standard to execute strategy & OKRs."[14] It offers a customisable goal system, check-ins, reporting and a goal tree view, with EU data protection front and centre.[14][15]

Best for: European mid-sized companies that want a flexible OKR system with GDPR assurances and integrations with both Jira and Azure DevOps.

Strengths

  • "Fully compliant with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)" with "ISO 27001 certified server locations."[14]
  • Jira and Azure DevOps data integrations.[16]
  • 14-day free trial with no credit card.[15]

Limits to know

  • Minimum of 5 users on paid plans, and 100 users for Enterprise.[15]
  • SSO and SCIM are on Enterprise only.[15]
  • SAFe PI objectives and program boards are not documented.

Pricing: Essential €7 and Professional €10 per user per month billed annually, Enterprise on request.[15]

8. Weekdone

Weekdone calls itself OKR software "for goal tracking and weekly status reporting."[11] It pairs quarterly OKRs with the Plans, Progress, Problems (PPP) weekly check-in and includes OKR examples and a guided writing tool.[11]

Best for: Small teams that are new to OKRs and want a weekly reporting rhythm with coaching built in.

Strengths

  • Free for up to 3 users, with all features.[12]
  • PPP weekly check-ins and automated status reports.[11]
  • Jira integration that imports issues into weekly check-ins.[13]

Limits to know

  • Azure DevOps is not on its integrations page.[13]
  • Jira issues feed weekly check-ins rather than key result progress.
  • Exact paid prices are shown only in a calculator.[12]

Pricing: Free for up to 3 users. Paid plans are per user, with the price falling as you grow and about 20% off on annual billing, and a 14-day trial.[12]

9. Tability

Tability promises "OKRs that don't suck" and describes itself as "an AI-native platform to build, roll out and execute your business strategy with both human and Agent teams."[23] Check-ins can be run by AI agents on a schedule.[23]

Best for: Startups and small teams that want lightweight, AI-assisted OKRs at a low price.

Strengths

  • AI suggestions for goal writing and agent check-ins.[23]
  • Two free read-only seats per paid user.[24]
  • Jira, Linear, Asana and ClickUp integrations.[24][25]

Limits to know

  • No free plan, only a 14-day trial.[24]
  • Azure DevOps is not on its integrations page.[25]
  • SAFe PI objectives and program boards are not documented.

Pricing: Basic $6 and Premium $10 per user per month billed yearly ($7 and $12 monthly), Enterprise on request.[24]

10. Atlassian Goals

Goals live in Atlassian Home, which Atlassian describes as "a hub connecting your work across Atlassian."[26] Goals "help you to track and communicate the outcomes you and your teams are working towards", and "you can link goals to any work type" in Jira.[26][27]

Best for: Teams that are fully on Atlassian Cloud and want simple goals linked to Jira work without another vendor.

Strengths

  • No separate tool: goals sit next to Jira, Confluence and Atlassian projects.[26]
  • Goals link to any Jira work type.[27]

Limits to know

  • Goals are not a full OKR method: weighted key results, business value, PI objectives and OKR roadmaps are not documented.
  • Azure DevOps is not documented.
  • A separate price is not published.

Pricing: Not published as a separate price. Access is managed by your organisation admin in Atlassian Home.[26]

How do you choose an OKR tool?

Start with who owns your OKRs and where the work behind your key results is tracked. If HR owns goals, choose a performance platform. If leadership owns strategy across the company, choose a strategy and OKR tool. If your key results are delivered by product and engineering teams in Jira or Azure DevOps, choose an OKR tool that links key results to that work.

Which OKR tool fits which situation.

If you need company-wide goal setting or HR goals

When objectives are mostly about revenue, hiring, customers or individual development, the best OKR tool is the one people will update every week. Lattice Goals and Betterworks put goals inside the performance cycle, so reviews and one-on-ones reference them. Perdoo and Mooncamp are stronger when leadership wants a strategy map and KPIs across every department. None of them needs a link to delivery work for this to succeed.

If your agile teams work in Jira

Most OKR tools now list a Jira integration, but they differ in what they link. Some import issues into a weekly check-in, some link an epic to a key result. Ask whether progress on the key result is calculated from the work, or still typed by hand. Kendis links key results directly to features and user stories on the program board and syncs both ways with Jira Cloud, Jira Data Center and Jira Server, so the OKR moves when the work moves. If you only need a few goals and are fully on Atlassian Cloud, Atlassian Goals may be enough.

If you run SAFe portfolios and release trains

In SAFe, strategy flows from strategic themes to portfolio and program objectives and into PI objectives that teams commit to during PI Planning. A generic OKR tool can hold the objectives, but not the PI objectives, business value and features that prove them. Kendis connects all of these: organisational objectives linked to strategic themes, key results linked to features on the program board, PI objectives with planned and achieved business value, and OKR roadmaps that show progress across quarters. Read how the Kendis OKR tool works.

If your teams are on Azure DevOps

Azure DevOps shops lost the obvious Microsoft option when Viva Goals was retired on December 31, 2025.[1] Kendis, Perdoo, Mooncamp, Profit.co, Betterworks and WorkBoard all list Azure DevOps integrations. Kendis syncs two-way with Azure DevOps and with TFS 2018 and 2019, and links key results to features and stories in the same board that teams plan on. Moving from Viva Goals? See Viva Goals to Kendis.

If you are a small team or want to start free

For a handful of people, start simple. Perdoo is free for up to 5 users and Weekdone for up to 3. Tability is inexpensive once the 14-day trial ends. If your team already works in Jira or Azure DevOps and expects to grow into scaled agile, the Kendis trial gives you six months, enough for two OKR cycles, with no credit card.

Questions to ask in any OKR software trial

  1. Does progress on a key result come from real work, or from a manual check-in?
  2. Can team OKRs roll up to program and company objectives, and can leaders see the whole tree?
  3. Which trackers does it connect to, and is the sync one-way or two-way?
  4. Can you record the business value of a key result, planned and achieved?
  5. Where is the data hosted, and is there a self-hosted option?
  6. Is the trial long enough to run at least one full OKR cycle?

New to the method? Read the OKR guide for examples of good objectives and key results, then come back to pick a tool.

Try Kendis free for 6 months

Kendis is the OKR software for agile and SAFe organisations. Link key results to the features and stories in Jira or Azure DevOps and see OKR progress come from delivered work. The free trial runs for six months, long enough for two quarterly OKR cycles.

  • 6 months free, no credit card
  • Choose EU hosting (OVHcloud, Frankfurt) or US hosting (AWS)
  • OKRs and PI objectives with business value, linked to features and stories
  • Two-way sync with Jira Cloud, Jira Data Center, Azure DevOps and TFS
  • ISO/IEC 27001 certified, GDPR compliant
  • Self-hosted option for data that must stay on your servers

One trial per organisation that has not used Kendis in the last twelve months. After the trial, Premium Cloud is $14 per user per month billed annually, or $16 monthly. Strategic themes, global OKRs and roadmaps are in ORG Views. See pricing and the free trial terms.

More on OKRs and strategy

OKR software: frequently asked questions

What is OKR software?

OKR software is a tool for setting, aligning and tracking objectives and key results. It stores each objective with its measurable key results, shows how goals cascade from the company to teams, collects regular check-ins and reports progress. Some OKR tools are built for company goal-setting and performance management, others, such as Kendis, connect OKRs to the delivery work in Jira or Azure DevOps.

Is there a free OKR tool?

Yes. Perdoo has a free plan for up to 5 users and Weekdone is free for up to 3 users. Kendis is free for six months with no credit card. Profit.co offers a 30-day trial, and Mooncamp and Tability offer 14-day trials. For a first, small cycle a spreadsheet also works.

What is the best OKR tool for Jira?

If your OKRs must connect to features and stories in Jira for agile or SAFe teams, Kendis links key results directly to the work on the program board with two-way Jira sync. Atlassian Goals links goals to Jira work items inside Atlassian Cloud. Perdoo, Profit.co, WorkBoard, Mooncamp, Lattice, Betterworks, Weekdone and Tability all list a Jira integration.

What is the best OKR tool for Azure DevOps?

Kendis syncs two-way with Azure DevOps and TFS 2018 and 2019 and links key results to features and stories. Perdoo, Profit.co, WorkBoard, Mooncamp and Betterworks also list Azure DevOps integrations. Lattice, Weekdone and Tability do not list Azure DevOps on their integration pages.

What replaced Viva Goals?

Microsoft retired Viva Goals on December 31, 2025 and recommended that customers export their data before then. Microsoft did not name a successor, so former customers moved to other OKR tools. Teams that used Viva Goals with Azure DevOps or Jira often choose a tool that links OKRs to delivery work, such as Kendis. See moving from Viva Goals to Kendis.

How much does OKR software cost?

Published prices for the tools in this guide start at about $6 to $14 per user per month: Tability from $6, Perdoo from €6.40, Mooncamp from €7, Lattice Goals and Betterworks from $8, and Kendis Premium Cloud at $14 billed annually. Profit.co and WorkBoard quote on request. Free plans exist for very small teams.
