Overview
Electrolux’s story with Kendis originates from a friend-of-a-friend (or more like brother-of-a-consultant) who had recommended Kendis. That referral was nearly two years ago, and from then on they have grown rapidly, being one of the most engaged customers of Kendis.

We spoke with Juliano Tripodi, an Agile Delivery Lead at Electrolux, and one of the main adopters of Kendis. Through Juliano, we have witnessed Kendis become a tool for positive change in the company.
Environment of empowerment
The environment within Electrolux is one of the main factors to their growth. The teams are given flexibility and openness, which has become a catalyst for confident behaviour, according to Juliano. The team members have become more outspoken and are taking ownership of deliverables. This changes the attention to detail company-wide, and therefore improves their outcomes. Empowering teams is one of Juliano’s top priorities. In terms of tooling, Kendis has taken centre stage.
I am really proud to say that no PI Plan event has been the same as any other previous one. So we either introduce a new concept or a new principle or we improve the ways of working and the feedback that we get is always positive from our stakeholders. — Juliano Tripodi.
Kendis at the center of Electrolux’s PI
Our tool has been of assistance during multiple PI Plannings now, and Juliano highlighted how encouraging the teams to grow has allowed for each event to incorporate new aspects.
We basically now have Kendis as the main tool in our ART to run PI Plannings, so we completely moved away from excel and power point. Now Sprint Reports are generated based on velocity chart and SoS teams board.

The management team is able to find all the epics and track progress directly in Kendis, so there is no need for us to create presentations to report progress to them.” — Juliano Tripodi.
Currently, the main roles using Kendis in Electrolux are Release Train Engineers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and the Agile Delivery Leadership Team. SMs and RTEs use the software on a daily basis for Scrum of Scrums, Sprint Reports, etc., but POs are engaged mainly during PI Planning (at the moment).
Envisioning growth with Org View
Electrolux has moved away from Excel and PowerPoint by centralizing Planning in Kendis. During execution, Kendis generates Sprint Reports and Analytics that are readily available for management, saving time and giving a more accurate picture of progress.

Juliano said his teams are the most excited for the upcoming updates to Sprint Reports and Organizational Views in Kendis. Kendis and Electrolux have been able to grow alongside each other, and our new releases are made better by feedback and teamwork that Electrolux has taken part in. These developments are going to enhance the workflow Electrolux has developed, and we are excited to how their entire portfolio benefits from Kendis in the future.

Incorporating in-depth tracking allows Electrolux to not only see progress accurately, but also understand the areas that need improvement in more detail. Juliano knows that this is the key to their success, as he has said in the context of implementing change that,
The secret of the success is not repeating the same mistakes again. — Juliano Tripodi.
